This tract, roughly 24 acres in size, on the west side of Little Rice Lake (which has no open water), is landlocked and only accessible via foot through the meandered wetland basin. Disabled access is limited to the township road and parking lots on the east side of the WMA. The public water access to Long Lake on the NE part of the WMA is very shallow, primitive and doesn't include a boat ramp. In addition, the copious amounts of submergent & floating-leaved plants throughout the lake, along with thick stands of wild rice in the northern half of the lake make use of the lake with large boats, especially v-hull fishing boats, difficult.
