Unit 125 covers about 585 square miles in Bent, Crowley, Kiowa and Otero counties.

In 2024, an estimated 198 deer hunters hunted Game Management Unit 125 across all seasons and took 64 deer, a success rate of 32%. The statewide rate that year was 43%.

That is 66 fewer hunters than 2023, when success was 27%.

Among the 138 units with at least 100 rifle deer hunters, unit 125 ranked 97 for rifle success and 14 for fewest rifle hunters per square mile.
