What is Kampoosa Fen WMA like?

MassWildlife describes it: "Kampoosa Fen WMA is a combination of swamp (the ecologically important Kampoosa Bog) and managed agriculture. The southern portion of the WMA is very wet and difficult to access. The northern areas feature upland field habitats managed under an agreement with a local farmer. The WMA is relatively small and not a popular area for outdoor recreation."

On its habitat work: "A significant portion of the WMA is managed as field habitat. It is cut annually after July 15th under an agricultural agreement. This agreement keeps the area from reverting to mature forest."
