What is Rockdale Highlands WMA like?
MassWildlife describes it: "The Rockdale Highlands WMA contains a variety of different terrain ranging from 870' to 1365' in elevation. Majority of the acreage is oak-white pine-hemlock forest and northern hardwood forests, intermingled with oak hickory, hemlock-hardwood, and red oak–sugar maple transition forest. The WMA does contain a couple of forested wetlands located on the southern half of Mohawk Lake and Mohawk Brook."
