Unit 20 covers about 1,206 square miles in Larimer, Boulder and Weld counties.

In 2024, an estimated 875 elk hunters hunted Game Management Unit 20 across all seasons and took 355 elk, a success rate of 41%. The statewide rate that year was 20%.

That is 53 more hunters than 2023, when success was 49%.

2nd rifle was the busiest rifle season, with 55 hunters, about 5 for every 100 square miles of the unit.
