Unit 20 covers about 1,206 square miles in Larimer, Boulder and Weld counties.
In 2024, an estimated 1,994 deer hunters hunted Game Management Unit 20 across all seasons and took 811 deer, a success rate of 41%. The statewide rate that year was 43%.
That is 99 more hunters than 2023, when success was 41%.
2nd rifle was the busiest rifle season, with 203 hunters, about 17 for every 100 square miles of the unit.
4th rifle had the highest rifle success at 50%.
Among the 138 units with at least 100 rifle deer hunters, unit 20 ranked 84 for rifle success and 113 for fewest rifle hunters per square mile.
