Unit 13 covers about 362 square miles in Moffat and Routt counties.
In 2024, an estimated 245 deer hunters hunted Game Management Unit 13 across all seasons and took 108 deer, a success rate of 44%. The statewide rate that year was 43%.
That is 17 more hunters than 2023, when success was 47%.
2nd rifle was the busiest rifle season, with 99 hunters, about 27 for every 100 square miles of the unit.
3rd rifle had the highest rifle success at 52%.
Among the 138 units with at least 100 rifle deer hunters, unit 13 ranked 83 for rifle success and 65 for fewest rifle hunters per square mile.
