Unit 4 covers about 468 square miles in Moffat and Routt counties.

In 2024, an estimated 678 deer hunters hunted Game Management Unit 4 across all seasons and took 384 deer, a success rate of 57%. The statewide rate that year was 43%.

That is 19 more hunters than 2023, when success was 47%.

3rd rifle was the busiest rifle season, with 215 hunters, about 46 for every 100 square miles of the unit.

4th rifle had the highest rifle success at 77%.
