In CPW's 2026 primary elk draw, 10 elk hunt codes drew out at 15 to 19 preference points for residents, 303 licenses in all, and 5 drew out at 15 to 19 preference points for nonresidents. A resident who listed one of them first with that many points drew it. Residents with fewer points drew 999 other codes outright or at lower levels.
