Colorado elk hunt codes that drew at 20 or more preference points, 2026
In CPW's 2026 primary elk draw, 23 elk hunt codes drew out at 20 or more preference points for residents, 265 licenses in all, and 36 drew out at 20 or more preference points for nonresidents. A resident who listed one of them first with that many points drew it. Residents with fewer points drew 1,009 other codes outright or at lower levels.
Every figure is from Colorado Parks and Wildlife's 2026 Draw Recap report for elk, with 2025 and 2024 beside it. "Drew out at" is the point level of the last license the primary draw gave that group.
