VPA properties are open year-round, around the clock, for hunting, fishing, trapping and wildlife watching; Turkey Hunter Access (THAP) properties are open March 1 to May 29 for spring turkey only. Camping is prohibited, and public deer tags are required to hunt deer on VPA land (DNR VPA program).
The DNR asks hunters not to contact landowners for permission: every listed property is open. Stay inside the posted boundary, park on the road shoulder or in a marked lot, and keep 300 feet from buildings.
